3″x48″ Sock, Yellow, HAZMAT, 30/pk – E Group Polypropylene Absorbent Socks
The Echo Group HAZMAT socks function like any other “Universal” sock but are commonly used for the containment and absorption of liquids of unknown content. The bright yellow color is the commonly known and accepted warning of the possible presence of potential hazardous chemicals or materials. HAZMAT Socks are ideal for use where hazardous liquids are stored, transferred or used, such as in industrial sites, vehicle maintenance shops, truck and rail liquid transfer facilities, aviation fueling and maintenance facilities, as well as by fire and other first responder personnel.
Echo Group Socks are available in “Oil Only” (white), “Universal” (gray) or “Hazmat” (yellow)in 4 and 10 foot lengths.
Disposal of saturated absorbents must be in compliance with local, State and Federal regulations governing the material absorbed. Handling, storage and disposal of saturated absorbents may be governed by local, State and Federal Environmental and Transportation regulation. The end-user is solely responsible for compliance with all such laws and regulations.
